Thanksgiving is one of the most important celebrations in the United States and in Canada. It is the day in which people gather together and celebrate all the things they have to be thankful for, usually eating Turkey and pumpkin pie, among many other incredibly tasty and traditional dishes. It takes place on the fourth Thursday of November, which means that this year we will be celebrating it on the 22nd. But… what if you are far away from home? Don’t worry! La Gringa/Carmencita
Popular for their amazing brunches, La Gringa doesn’t let down when it comes to Thanksgiving meals! For €35 they offer a full Thanksgiving meal either for dinner or lunch in a great international environment. In addition, you can enjoy it not only on the 22nd, but every day from Wednesday until Sunday.

Taxi to Manhattan
From the 23rd until the 26th of November, Taxi to Manhattan will be serving Thanksgiving menus for 30 euros. Get ready to enjoy pumpkin cream, crunchy pear salad and roasted turkey with cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes. Not only you can have dinner here, but you can pre-order and pick up to go, if you rather have friends over at your place.

Hard Rock Café
Corn chowder with bacon bits, roasted turkey with chestnut stuffing, pumpkin pie… what else can you ask for on Thanksgiving’s day? Oh, yes! Great company! Good news for you: Hard Rock Café has lots of seating for you and your friends to celebrate this date while enjoying their traditional menu. The American Club of Madrid is celebrating their Thanksgiving there as well if you want company and a chance to win some amazing prizes.

This popular restaurant is offering Thanksgiving dinner for the third year in a row! It costs €40 and it includes pumpkin cream with fresh cheese, roasted turkey, glazed carrots, cranberry sauce and an amazing cranberry cake. Make sure to book a bit in advance, since it usually gets quite crowded.

James Joyce
This Irish bar has also decided to celebrate this American/Canadian tradition! They will have a traditional menu and you can book your table at reservas@jamesjoyce.com.

Roll Madrid
Roll Madrid is a Neo-American food restaurant where you should go if you’re missing home. The food is diverse, Instagram-worthy and really tasty! This year they offer a traditional Thanksgiving menu on the 22nd and 23rd of November. It’s €35 with a glass of cava to start your dinner and for €10 extra you can have unlimited wine and beer. You’ll also find a really similar offer in The Village Tap Room, that is owned by the same group as the Roll Madrid.

If you prefer something a little more low-key with friends, why not do a pot-luck and have everyone bring a dish. You can buy a turkey at your local butcher and the rest of the ingredients are available in many local shops.
