Who we are

TtMadrid, takes your privacy seriously and we are always keen to make sure that we look after our TtMadrid family right from the get-go.

We would never sell your information to other businesses but we are 100% transparent so in this Privacy Policy we have included lots of detailed information about why, when and how we collect your personal information and then how we use it. It’s a bit of a long one so why don’t you sit back with a cup of tea and read on.

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you to help us personalize and improve your experience, to process your online requests and to send you communications to which you have subscribed.

On certain pages you can make requests and register to receive various materials. The types of personal information collected on these pages are: first name, last name, e-mail address, phone, information about your experience and your motivation for studying with us and credit / debit card information (if you use your card to pay on our online system).

You can always choose not to submit the information requested, understanding that you may be unable to take advantage of our website, school or payment features.

How Secure Is My Personal Information?

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the correct use and transmission of your information, we have implemented the appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information collected from you online.

To protect your information, we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts all of the information that you input into our forms and the information you provide when performing a credit card transaction. We do our best to make sure everything is nice and safe, but as with any information stored digitally, no system is absolutely safe.

Types of data we collect

Website Cookies

To make this site work properly, we sometimes place small data files called cookies on your device. Most websites do this too.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.

How do we use cookies?

A number of our pages use cookies to remember:

  • your display preferences, such as contrast colour settings or font size
  • if you have already replied to a survey pop-up that asks you if the content was helpful or not (so you won’t be asked again)
  • if you have agreed (or not) to our use of cookies on this site

Also, some videos embedded in our pages use a cookie to anonymously gather statistics on how you got there and what videos you visited.

Enabling these cookies is not strictly necessary for the website to work but it will provide you with a better browsing experience. You can delete or block these cookies, but if you do that some features of this site may not work as intended.

The cookie-related information is not used to identify you personally and the pattern data is fully under our control. These cookies are not used for any purpose other than those described here.

How to control cookies

You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish – for details, see aboutcookies.org. You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer and you can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site and some services and functionalities may not work.

Google Analytics

When someone visits TtMadrid’s website, another site, Google Analytics, collects standard information and details of visitors. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the website and to see how our website works for you – if we need to make improvements and what type of fantastic content our TtMadrid family likes to read! This information is anonymous and we do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Wifi

We have wifi at TtMadrid but do not collect data of our wifi users. It’s just free and (mostly) fabulous!

Mailing Lists

To keep you up to date with the latest job offers from our partners in Madrid, we send daily emails to our ex-graduates.

We use a third party provider, Mailchimp, to send out emails about Madrid, Spain and generally for information on ESL and TEFL. These emails are sent to people that have got in touch with TtMadrid. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice.

You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing info@ttmadrid.com.

We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations.

Other companies in the LETS Group

We sometimes send information between the companies in LETS Group – like emails for Spanish classes or to send over level tests to our students that are signing up. We do not share our students’ emails with other third parties.

Access to your personal information

We’re always here to help you control your data. You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email Helen at info@ttmadrid.com and she can sort out any changes you would like to make.

E-mails for academic purposes

At times your teachers may send you e-mails for academic purposes. For example homework or other things related to your course. If you prefer not to receive e-mails of this type send an e-mail to info@ttmadrid.com
