Veranos de la Villa – one of the biggest summer parties in the city -returns to Madrid. The capital of Spain dresses up to host a summer event full of free cultural and leisure activities (music, dance, theater, circus, zarzuela, cabaret, performance, cinema, astronomy, fashion, fireworks, urban sports, itineraries….) Music

Due to its good reception, for the fourth consecutive year Madrid Suena returns to the city. Madrid Suena is a concert in a public pool. A day dedicated to listen to club music with known DJ’s from the best Clubs of Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia. On various weeks throughout the summer Vivir en videoclip. Tú, yo, ‘nosotris’ y un karaoke #1 is the best plan if you’re karaoke royalty. In its opening year last year it was held in the Outdoor amphitheater in Plaza de Ermua.

Movies

This year Veranos de la Villa offers an open-air projection of the premier of La virgen de agosto, the new film by Jonás Trueba. Filmed entirely in Madrid between August 1 and 15 of last year, this event is perfect if you want to practice your listening skills and enjoy something different.

Cine de Verano Conde Duque will consist of more than 45 films priced between €3-€8. Movies will be accompanied with a terrace-bar where you can enjoy a wide gastronomic offer. The program is designed for all audiences, from lovers of original version films to families with children who stay for the summer in the capital.

Sports

The most famous event during Veranos de la Villa dedicated to sports is Calistenia or street work out. A training discipline based on physical exercises with one’s own body weight.
